Transporting
- We will not transport CITES animals without adequate paperwork.
- We will not transport any DWA animals without legal paperwork (licences) for both locations — this will be verified before we agree to transportation. We stipulate that DWA animals must be transported in double rub containers, sealed with cable ties on all four corners, and clearly labelled with a danger/venomous warning and the species name. As a DWA holder you will understand the reasons. Animals must be well-hydrated before movement, as containers will not be opened by us under any circumstances. Proof of valid, in-date licences must be sent to us at the time of enquiry. Transport will only be made to the address stated on the licence — no exceptions.
- We will not transport anything larger than an adult royal python or corn snake, subject to booking restrictions.
- No snake bags. Appropriately sized braplasts or rubs only, secured appropriately.
- No large monitors. Babies or small juveniles are accepted at our discretion.
- We do transport inverts and tarantulas.
- We do transport vivariums and equipment, though capacity is limited — please contact us for more information.
- We will not transport any animal in ill health, and we reserve the right to refuse transport at our discretion. If this occurs, a refund will be issued minus the 25% deposit.
- We can supply rubs if required — please advise us at the time of booking.
- All animals and equipment must be weighed prior to collection to ensure we remain within the vehicle’s legal weight limits.
- A signed form/document confirmation will be provided for the seller, ourselves, and the purchaser prior to collection. Photographs will also be taken upon collection and delivery — available to both parties on request. No persons will appear in photographs for confidentiality purposes.
- All information provided is subject to current data protection legislation and will be treated in strict confidence.
- All required licences, insurances, and documents will be carried in the vehicle at all times.
- In the event of extreme weather conditions, we reserve the right to amend or reschedule delivery dates and times to ensure the safe transport of animals in transit. The welfare of the animals is our primary concern in any eventuality.
- It is the sender’s responsibility to ensure that all animal containers are securely fastened with tape or an equivalent adequate fastening to prevent escape. We accept no liability if a container does not meet our standards and loss occurs. We reserve the right to refuse transport if animals are not safely secured. Please enquire at the time of booking if you are uncertain about container requirements.
- Due to the delicate nature of animals in transit, we cannot be held accountable for any deaths or tail drops whilst in our care. It is the seller’s and buyer’s joint responsibility to ensure the animal is fit for travel prior to collection. A veterinary certificate must be provided if an animal has been unwell or has had mites (and must be confirmed clear) within 60 days of collection. We will not transport otherwise and reserve the right to refuse — in which case the transport fee is forfeited.
- In the event of a vehicle breakdown, timings may be subject to change; however, delivery will always be completed. A contingency plan is in place and can be provided upon request.
- Payment must be received no later than 5 days before the scheduled route.
Bookings
- Full payment is required 5 days before the closing date for that run. Non-refundable.
- No refunds once the run has been organised (subject to the animal health provisions outlined above).
- We do not collect cash from buyers to pass to sellers — this is not covered under our insurance policy.
- No cash payments accepted on collection or drop-off.
- By booking with us, you agree to our published running times (see the Booking page for details).
- When making a booking, please provide any useful information to help locate your address — or supply your What3Words reference. If you are unsure of this, please speak to our booking team at the time of booking. This helps minimise delays and unnecessary stress to animals in transit.
- All drivers carry a mobile phone and will be in recognisable company workwear with an ID card for your peace of mind. Drivers may call from an unfamiliar number if assistance is needed locating your address — please be aware of this if you do not routinely answer unknown calls.
